Wednesday 25th May: 10 mile TT
Course: The A811 10 mile course
Sign-on: Touch Road layby at the entrance to Garshellach Forest, 0.3 miles from the junction with the A811 NOTE: Last year we had some concerns about the safety of riders coming in and out of the layby on the A811 - we will not be using this layby for sign-on this year. Please do not park at the sign-on - there is no room for extra vehicles. Either ride out to the TT, or park in Cambusbarron/King's Knot area and ride down to sign-on.
Wednesday 29th June: 2-up TT
2-up TT - ride in pairs, time taken from the second rider across the line.
Course: Start a few yards short of the Kippen roundabout on the B822, head in to Stirling, round King's Knot roundabout and back to finish alongside the entrance to Boquhan House on the A811, ~1 km from the Kippen roundabout.
Sign-on: Woodhouse cafe car park.
Wednesday 31st August: 1 mile TT
Course: To be confirmed.
Sign-on: Woodhouse cafe car park
First rider off at 7.01 pm in every case.
Registering for these TTs will take place via Spond. If you've not already signed up for Spond, please do so - it's very easy to do, and will be required for you to take part in most of our club activities.
If you are not planning to take part, we could use your services as a volunteer. For each TT we'll need start and finish timekeepers, and various marshals depending on the course.
I'm pleased to announce that Scottish Cycling have changed their rules on club-confined time trials, and second claim members may now take part.
SBC Club Confined Time Trial Series
How The Events Will Run
These time trials are run via Scottish Cycling/British Cycling.
The time trials are created on Spond – accept the invitation if you want to attend.
You need to respond 24 hours ahead of the scheduled race time.
After entries close 24 hours before the race, I will create the start sheet and post this on Spond and the club forum.
On The Night
You must have a working rear light fitted and in use for the race.
Please cycle to the start, rather than drive, if you can.
Collect your race number from the organiser at sign-on and sign the sign-on sheet.
Do not warm-up on the course.
The start timekeeper will call you forward and set you off.
At the finish, shout out your number to the timekeeper.
Take care when turning around after the finish to return to HQ.
Return your number off in the box in the organiser’s car boot
Results will be posted up after the event on the forum.
