My legs and my head thank you for this decision. Suffice to say that Stella Artois and engagement parties are not perfect preparation for a ride up Glen Devon.

I think in the interests of safety I'm going to cancel todays Intermediate ride. Here in Falkirk for the past two hours we have been experiencing some really heavy downpours of rain with localised flooding on some roads accompanied by heavy peels of thunder and lightning. Not a great start to the day and according to the latest weather forecast looks as though it could continue until lunchtime.

Think it best to stay indoors this morning in anticipation of the start of the Tour B) B) B)

It's not usually my legs I need to worry about after a night on the beer/wine Graeme!

I'm very tempted, this is a great route. I'll see how the legs feel on Saturday morning as I'm out on the beer on Friday night.

SBC Intermediate Ride – Saturday 04 July

I'll be taking out the Intermediate Group run this weekend and please note that this will be run at a leisurely 15mph average maximum so if you want to move up from the Easy/ Development Group to a slightly faster and further distance ride, this is for you!!!!

The route for this ride will head out Eastward through Fishcross and Coalsnaughton, turning right and then left towards Blairingone before turning left again to Vicars Bridge and up to the Hillfoots Road. On to the Yetts O 'Muckhart and left taking the Glen Devon road to Gleneagles and back via Braco, Kinbuck and Bridge of Allan to the start at the Peak.
Corrieris Cafe is currently closed so we'll use the Peak as our finishing point for coffee and cake.

Just under 46 miles all in despite the weather forecast!!!!

Route : connect.garmin.com/course/10071601
Everyone welcome as always, no one gets left behind.

Weather people at the moment are predicting a warm but wet day, it is summer after all, so make sure you have suitable clothing for getting wet in, something to eat and drink, yourself and bike.

See you on Saturday.
