The Saturday rain was forecast and indeed it came so Sunday looks pretty good just now. I intend to join you. See you tomorrow.

Hi Folks

Plenty of interest which is great and no current forecast of rain. Cloudy and with a gentle easterly (nice change hopefully).
Can we please meet at the Blairmains Coffee Bothy (Manor Loan) at 9:00am . We will head straight out from the Alloa end of the Coffee Bothy road and out via Tullibody, cutting down into Alva and along the Hillfoots to Kinross, out around Loch Leven and return through Crook of Devon. This run is about 3 hours and not too hilly. We will stop in the milkbar in Powmill for a coffee (Coffee Bothy usually very busy and a bit tight for cyclists).

I’ll join you on Sunday if it’s still on.
Don’t mind start time and leave that choice to you

I intend to be out on this Sunday Middle Group Ride and a 9am would be fine for me if this is the consensus. Otherwise, 10am at the Blairmains Coffee Bothy is also fine with me. I take it they are OK with us leaving our cars there for at least three hours?

Hi Folks
I'm down to lead this coming Sunday. I'm posting early, to see the level of interest as the ride will be impacted by the Stirling Marathon (and a half!).
The 1/2 marathon winner is expected to finish about 0945 @ King's Park and marathon winner @ 1100. The 1/2 race route runs thru Causeway head, to the Uni and back along the A91 past the Peak and on thru Springkerse. So a 10am start will clash with a finishing stream or runners. A 9am start would avoid this.

I am proposing a route east of Stirling, starting from say the Blairmains Coffee Bothy (Manor Powis). The route would be about 3 hours with a coffee stop to the east (Dollar, Cafe des Fleurs). The difficulty would be for people returning to Stirling. The link below includes the marathon route details.

If people can post up if they intend to ride that would be great, otherwise, I will assume the logistics are proving too difficult and cancel the ride.

All info on various races on Sunday are here: www.greatrun.org/great-stirling-run/event-info
