It looks as though we’ll have an east wind on Saturday and probably some rain so it may be a bit early to ditch the mudguards. Assuming no dramatic change in the weather we’ll head out east, through Coalsnaughton to Dollarbeg, Solsgirth, Hillend, Powmill, Rumbling Bridge, Upper Hillfoots Road, Dollar, Tillicoultry, Alva, Menstrie and Corrieri’s. The route is at
. It is about 35 miles, a bit hilly on the way out but we should have it easier on the way back with a tail wind and flatter roads. There are no severe hills so there should be no difficulty staying together as a group.
Come equipped for cold, probably wet conditions and remember the usual essentials; helmet, spare tubes, pump, basic tools and enough food and drink for the ride.
Remember we have the firstof the 9.00am starts on Saturday so I’ll be at The Peak about 8.45. Make yourself known to me if it is your first time out with the club. It should be a good ride on some less familiar roads.
See you on Saturday.
