Just to add to Andy's post, NO PARKING in the VETS for the next few weeks until we change our start time to 7pm. The Veterinary Surgery is open until 6.30pm so they need the parking for their customers.
Just a wee reminder that the Development Chain Gang starts tonight (Tues 9/4) at Whins of Milton Vets surgery 6.30pm. I'll be taking the Development/Intermediate group throughout the season whenever I can. It's a 2.1 mile circuit (see Andy S's message below) and to start with tonight the Dev/Inter group will probably do about 7 or 8 circuits depending on weather and daylight. We'll start off slowly and you'll find yourself speeding up naturally as we get used to it throughout the season. In terms of numbers, the more riders the easier it is. Look forward to seeing you tonight. Remember, lights both back and front, please.
Development chaingang will start on Tuesday 9th April, 6.30pm start at the bottom of Newline road behind Bruceview Vets, FK7 0LJ. Please note our normal time is 7pm, but it will be a few weeks before we start at this time so keep an eye on the Forum.
It is an hour of consistent cycling or fun. Circuit is
. Please park considerately and leave the space nearest the surgery building empty for the on call vet.
We will have at least two groups:
Group one - Developement/Intermediate average speed of 13 to 15mph.
Group two - Middle plus average speed of 15mp +
If the numbers are high then we will create another group depending on the riders.
All club members welcome and the more more people that come along the more groups we'll have!
Any questions, just ask by replying on this topic or come along ten minutes earlier and ask.
Like our Club rides, we have a few rules; Helmets, callout for anything that may cause harm to cyclists behind you, stick together as a group, unless someone wants to take a lap out or wait for the following group, but let others know. Mudguards are good to have, but don't expect everyone to have them on so if the roads are wet, expect to get wet.
If you plan to cycle to and from, please remember lights.
