I am standing in for Ray this week. Weather is gradually changing so by Saturday, forecast is for 8-9 degrees with wind from SSE/S, gradually strengthening over the morning from 11-15 mph with gusts up to 25mph later and increasing likelihood of rain.
I propose to head out east covering some bits of the area we did last week: Peak, Station Road, mushroom farm road to steep brae into Cowie, Airth, Clacks Brige, left into Clackmannan, Forestmill, Aberdona, Coalsnaughton, Tullibody, cycle path to Powmill, Corries.
31 miles and about 1000ft of ascent. Avg speed supposed to be 13-14 mph but often slower. There are a few hills.
Depart Peak at 10am. I will be there from 09.45. If out for the first time, talk to me for the routine, calls etc
Make sure you dress for the possible conditions. Bring food, fluid, tool/spare tubes/pump etc. No-one left behind.
