Well, what can I say? I had to exchange weeks with Neil two weeks ago and he got atrocious weather. It appears he has arranged the same for me this week. Thanks Neil!!! Currently very wet, windy and on an amber warning!!
Needless to say if this goes ahead, come prepared, any issues and we’ll get cold very quickly. Would like to maintain a nice steady pace to keep the heat up, only stopping jelly babies!!!
Planned ride is just shy of 44 miles with 1729ft of climbing, or if you prefer 1729ft of descending!!!
Sticking together, looking after each other, absolutely no one dropped or left behind.
The route:
Depart Peak
Drip road
Chalmerston road
The Smiddy
Coldoch road (think that’s what it’s called)
Kippen and upwards
Jelly baby corner
Arnprior
Port of Menteith
Over to Thornhill
B826 to Doune
Argaty
Dunblane
Bridge of Allan
Corrieries to allow the damp chamois to warm up!!
Regards
