I am leading the development ride this week, Routes are a bit constrained by the cross-country race on at the same time around King's Park and the Castle as well as a fairly stiff westerly wind forecast for 15mph with 30mph gusts. However risk of rain seems low and temp of about 8 degrees is anticipated. Ideally we should head out west but I would like to try to keep it interesting as far as possible.
Route is Cambuskenneth, Causewayhead r/b, Glen Road to Dunblane (Cathedral), wandering route via back roads and Argaty to Doune, micro-braes to Thornhill, towards Kippen for Coldoch Road, Chalmerston, Raploch, Corries. About 35 miles and 1500ft ascent.
Leave from the Peak at 10am. Avg spd 13-14mph but often lower. Bring food/fluid/ and pump/spare tubes/tools. No-one left behind. If you are out for the first time, make yourself known to me. I will be at the Peak from 09.45.
