Hi Paul, excellent, once we get everyone registered and signed up, I can look at the numbers but intention is a nice steady pace round it very much like a group ride. G

Graeme, Cheers for the link!

I'm assuming you're doing the 89 mile route? Well, I hope so or I might be on my own :)

Hi folks, been doing this event over a number of years with different members of the club , although this is sportive it is incredible well organised by police colleagues and the community of Lauder in memory of Steve Cully who was endurance athlete who died suddenly. The main charity is heart chest and stroke, unlike many of these events all the money goes to the charity and selected community projects. There are two routes 51 miles (3500ft climbing ) and 89 ( which has 6000ft of climbing for those wanting a challenge and some eager to get some endurance into those legs) . The course is well marshalled with a closed road start from Lauder ( where the whole community are out to cheer you on your way) there a number of feed stations all well stocked with home baking, sweets and gels /isotonic drinks. There are also a number of support vehicles travelling the routes over the course of the event checking every one is ok.
Here are the links if you are interested; the event sells out very quickly ( within a week usually)
Main web site for general information
www.tourdelauder.co.uk/
To enter

Hopefully see you there or if you want any further information just contact me
Cheers
