I will be leading the ride this Saturday. At present the wind looks to be quite strong from the west at 14-18mph but with gusts up to 36mph, although it is generally supposed to get a little bit easier as the day goes on. Reasonably dry with temps 7-8 degrees.
Anyway, that means we really need to head out west: BofA, Carse of Lecropt, Doune, Deanston Road(unfortunately), Minibraes, Thornhill, Coldoch, Chalmerston Road, Raploch, Corries. Distance 36miles, ascent 1500 feet. 13-14mph average supposedly but probably slower.
Dress for conditions and forecast, spare tubes, pump and tools. Food and fluid. Mudguards please. Likely to be wet in places and a bit rough here and there.
Depart the Peak 10am. I will be there from 09.45. If you are out for the first time, make yourself known to me.
