Can’t thank you enough for making this post Stuart. To say I was fizzing on Saturday would be an under statement as I was getting my face filled with crud!!! Interestingly there was a post on said subject from the lads at my old club (Deeside Thistle) with the perfect mudguards. I ask all to look closely at the attached picture, total respect, this is the wheel I’d follow.

Folks, on club runs during the winter months could you please fit proper full length mudguards. The small post mounted rear guards only keep a small amount of spray off the rider and do absolutely hee haw to protect riders behind. December is nearly here and yet riders are still riding in the groups without mudguards which is far from ideal.

As a courtesy to your fellow group riders please consider fitting full length guards which are readily available for use with proper eyelets or for fitment without (e.g, SKS Raceblade xl).

Regards, Stuart
