Stuart

I can't come along this Saturday as just back from longhaul travels and need a weekend without travels. I would happily join you at a later date.
Sounds like a great day and I'm really surprised by the lack of takeup so far.

Folks,
This will be a great day away.
Stuart loves his away days and will look after you.
It’s our last training weekend before the 12hr TT though, so unfortunately I can’t make it this time around.
Go on - try some different roads for a change!

1st Revision: I rode this route last Sunday. It was fab. Great views, quiet roads.
I can transport 2-3 other riders.
Cowal Peninsula

Course Link In Garmin

Park on A770 junction with Ashburn Gate as there are toilets on the front. See Directions Link . Check the parking restrictions I think it is ok.

Meet at McInroys Point Ferry Terminal around 5mins cycle from parking. (The terminal has no facilities and very limited parking)

Catching 09:50am Ferry, Will go earlier if others up for it. I have bought 10 tickets(yes I am an optimist) which workout at Β£4.62 return or you can buy on ferry for Β£9.50.

Lunch in one of the eaterys or the shop in Tighnabruaich roughly halfway. Public Toilets here too. In fact very civilised part of the world on the public convenience front.
It is a day in the saddle. Two bottles which will need refilling, snacks, usual riding in Scotland paraphernalia(waterproof), couple of tubes.
Please inspect and change break blocks in advance if they look to be near the end of their life. Make sure your tyres are in good nick as we are quite remote.
Road surfaces are generally very good with lots on new tar. Some of the decents are technical and I will be urging caution. I hit 41mph somewhere on the route (not sure where as I think my eyes were closed at the time).

Nobody abandoned start and finish as a group. I averaged a solo 15mph. Ferries are every 20mins.
Who am I? Fairly infrequent club rider at present but hopefully a few a the stalwarts Norrie/Shaza/Jim T/Jim P can give me a reference if you are put off riding with a stranger.
So stop just looking!
