What a great night of riding! There were seven of us, the weather was perfect and the company, banter and food stops were first class. To see Andy become Andrea is a sight to behold. Riding through the night around the Summer Solstice is a magical experience. Put it in your diary for next year, Friday 21st June 2019.
Hi Ivan. I've got a set of good lights you can borrow. I can give you a lift over to Aberfoyle with your bike. We are having a meal at the pub before we leave on the ride. You can message me on 07904 363495.
We, almost certainly, will Beckie. We'll see how this one goes and may stick to the same route. It could even become a regular event like Ride to the Sun! About a thousand people have signed up for that this year so their's no shortage of slightly nutty people about!

Neil & myself would have been interested Graham but unfortunately we have visitors next weekend. If you're likely to be doing something similar next year we'd be interested and will hold that weekend in the diary!
There are one or two people interested in this. Are there any others up for a bit of an adventure? If you've never done a longest day overnight ride it is a magical experience. Something to do at least once in your life!
The last two years I've taken part in 100 mile overnight rides, the first in 2016 was Full Moon to Dunoon from centre of Glasgow to Dunoon and the second was Ride to the Sun (Carlisle to Edinburgh). Both were fantastic experiences and something I want to repeat this year with a friend of mine from Glasgow Green Cycling Club. We are proposing to start in Aberfoyle, have a meal at The Forth Inn before we leave and get on the road by 22.00, have two stops to refuel, one at my house in Stirling the other back in Aberfoyle before the final leg of round Katrine and hope to finish by about 05.00! NOW, the big question is, would anyone like to join us on this adventure riding familiar roads but through a lovely summer night to celebrate the longest day? The route involves a double crossing of the Dukes Pass and the route is here:
We propose to do this overnight on Friday 22nd/23rd June. Any takers? If so add names below.
