Ladies!!!
Want to build on your cyclocross skills this season... then get your entries in... The course is a fantastic one, no rivers of mud like Plean :)

Glasgow Riderz proudly present the second edition of Nether Mind The PolloCX, grass-roots cyclocross racing for youth riders (girls and boys) and women (16+).

Sunday 10 January is the date for your diary, Nether Pollok playing fields on the south side of Glasgow (edge of Pollok Park) is the destination.

Younger riders - you’ll have separate age category races, so that means separate under 8s, under 10s and under 12s races. A shorter course for the younger categories means close and exciting racing, while a longer course for older riders will test your CX skills.

Female 16+ riders - you’ll have your own race for junior, senior and vet categories combined, which means no junior male or V50+ male riders getting in your way!

Before the race gets underway, Glasgow Riderz’ awesome female coaching crew will be leading a 90 minute women-only cyclocross coaching session. With a focus on some of the core techniques involved in ‘cross racing, this session is open to all entrants in the female 16+ race. If you’ve never raced ‘cross before, this can give you a good intro to the basic things you need to know; if you have, then this can help you get smoother and faster, as well as giving you a sneak preview of the course.

When you’re done racing, you can then head straight to the legendary Riderz cake table and refuel with soup, hot drinks and a unfeasible amount of wonderful home baking.

More details and entries available online here . You don’t need to be a British Cycling member or have a race licence to enter, but they’re good things to have.
