This is great news!

Likewise, was good to have a chat - I recognised the club top but hadn't clocked it was you - I'm great remembering a bike but terrible at names and faces!

There are a few by Bannockburn way (I am, as well!) so suspect a wee group ride out wouldn't be too difficult to get sorted - always good to also get a warm-up before the ride starts.

Hi Richard,

Great bumping into you at Calander Estate on Sunday. As mentioned I will be joining the MTB Wednesdays night rides but only from the new year, I normally ride out from Bannockburn so if anyone want to start earlier and ride out to the meeting point, they are welcome.

Great to see the MTB side picking up again, thanks for all your input

Sorry folks, pushing this back a wee bit - work is getting in the way and I'd be keen to get out. So, these rides will start 4th December.

Richard has put a lot of work into this attempt to reboot the SBC mountain bike scene. Even going as far as gently and patiently persuading (I believe the modern term is grooming), former SBC riders like myself to give it another try. I'll do my best to be at Kings park next Wednesday night. It's a tight squeeze for me regarding the time, as I don't get home till around 6pm, and it's a 40-45 minute cycle to the park from where I live in Dunipace, but providing it's not pouring down or blowing a hoolie, I plan to be there.
If you fancy coming out, maybe just for a few gentle laps of Cambusbarron in the first instance, just to get into the swing of things, then post up here and I'll see you next Wednesday. You'll need a helmet, good set of front lights, and a tail light for the road sections. A good sense of humour really comes in handy on cold winter nights as well.

Starting on 20th November, we'll be doing an evening ride each Wednesday, starting at 19.00.

Meeting point will change depending on ride location.

First ride will meet at King's Park, Stirling - near the cafe.

Working bike, lights and helmet are required, humour is also going to help!

More venues will be posted on this thread.

Hopefully see you there!
