Hi All, as promised, there will be an alternative to the normal road rides this week for those who fancy a change. This week's ride will be more testing than a 70 or 80 km road ride being about 45 km long (about 3 hours of riding) with one very big climb but non-technical. Route is here:
We will meet at The Pavilion cafe in Kings Park at 10.00 and finish at Corrieri's. Weather forecast is not great so wear appropriate kit and don't forget the usual spares, jacket and food. Hope to see a few of you there.

Just in case, there is anyone desperate to get out on a mountain bike with some people - suspect this won't be suitable but I've posted up the first 2019 Kids and Adult ride - next Saturday 12th at Balfron Station at the Endura Lifecycles centre -
- it won't be a big-miles ride but if you do want to get out on a mountain bike, it might be a location of interest for a wee leg spin.
Just to let you know, the alternative off-road choice for a Saturday is on hold for a while. The reason being is that I've got other things on for the next three weeks, i.e. races, but there will be a ride on the 26th January. Will post up as a reminder nearer the time.
For those of you who fancy a bit of a change from the Club road rides on a Saturday at this time of year to get off-road for a couple of hours this is the place to look. A two hour ride off-road is great training as it's more intensive and harder work than three hours or so on the road. Also, it is, in my opinion, much more fun. Bring on the snow and ice over the next couple of months!
Hi All. It's been two weeks since our first SA when there was a good group of us out so it's time for another one this Saturday. Unfortunately, I've been laid up all week with a really bad cold and am still suffering now so it would be silly of me to go out in the cold and snow which is forecast. However, that doesn't stop anybody else from going out and, with the possibility of the road rides being cancelled, an hour and a half or so of riding in the woods in the snow is the perfect thing to do. There is nothing like it! I would suggest keeping to Cambusbarron woods and doing as many trails as you can. Just explore.
Meet near the new cafe in Kings Park at 10.00 (which is fully open now) so you could finish there as well and try some of their excellent coffee and cakes.
I hope to be fully functioning again by next week. See you soon.
