No problem Beth / Helen. I enjoy taking riders out and helping them work on technical skills. I'd be happy to do more of this if there's a demand for it. Also happy to show others the delights of Aberfoyle / Callander - there's plenty on offer.
Hi Steve, from a personal point of view, I'd prefer the morning as I'm competing in the Corrieri's 10m TT at 9.22am on Sunday. That said, I'm happy to do what goes down best with you and other participants
The trails I have in mind are progressive so should help build confidence, but Aberfoyle is generally quite challenging so this isn't for beginners.
From a coaching point of view, the focus will be on improving technique at the limit of your confidence. The thing I'm really keen on is working within your capabilities so that you ride things well before progressing to the next level.
Hi Steve, that sounds great - we had a club ride scheduled for the morning but maybe this could take the place of it. I'd love to see some of the (easier!) Aberfoyle trails. Will see what Beth thinks and let you know!
I'm planning a trip round some of the easier trails in Aberfoyle on Saturday (probably in the afternoon). This is to recce the route for the ScottishCycling R.A.C.E session I'm leading there the following weekend, so the trails selected are all suitable for an XC rider (not enduro like some of the steeper stuff at Aberfoyle). I'd be very happy for some company if anyone wishes to join me. I could offer some coaching input if you were willing to be a guinea pig too!
