Today was a fantastic day out on the MTBs. Not had that much fun on a bike in a while. Great trail conditions, lovely views and pleasant company!

Thanks Helen and Beth for organising, and Graeme for helping lead us round.

Thanks to everyone who came along today - there were people coming and going at different points in the ride but at our largest number we were a record-breaking 16!

Remember we hope to have rides on the second Saturday and fourth Sunday of the month. And who knows? Maybe more as well!

I'm going to try to be there. Trails should be good - safer than the road!

Further to Helen's announcement of our bi-montthly MTB club rides, we'd like to invite you (over 16's only please) to join us for 2 - 3 hours of MTB fun in and around Cambusbarron. We will lead/explore the woods as Craig has shown us routes before, but the speed will vary depending on who shows up, and we will have an SBC no-drop policy. If you know the woods well please come along, and if you don't know them, but want some good fun up and down the lovely wooded slopes then feel free to join us. Park near the Cambusbarron village hall and surrounds, and see you outside the hall ready to ride at 10.00am. Forecast is COLD and possibly some snow, so please bring plenty of warm layers, a waterproof and helmet, plus food and drink. Don't forget your spare tube, pump/CO2, multitool and tyre levers as necessary. Please ensure your bike is in good working order. Phones are a good idea too. Can any 16 & 17 year olds (who don't bring a parent) have their emergency contact details with them (easy if you bring your SBC membership card).
Looking forward to a happy throng.
