Hi you might be aware that British Cycling are backing my Members Bill at Holyrood to change the default speed limit on built up streets from 30 mph to 20 mph in Scotland.
As you might have noticed, the vast majority of residential streets in Clacks are 20 mph while in Stirling only 20% are and in Falkirk there are no full time 20 zones.
The bill aims to make sure we have consistency across Scotland to make roads safer. Surveys show fear of traffic speed is one of the top reasons why many people don't get on a bike. There is a consultation that closes this coming Monday run by the Parliament's REC Committee, they would would like to hear your views.
You can give the bill a thumbs up or thumbs down in 10 seconds or spend 5-10 minutes answering a few more questions here..

If you want to find out a bit more about the proposal and the scrutiny the committee is doing then have a look here..

Cheers!
